Wat Phra Sri San Phet , was the Royal Temple & Ancient Palace of Ayutthaya from 1350AD.
The breathtaking complex, which was used for royal ceremonies and storing royal relics, even though most of the buildings were destroyed and burnt in 1767 AD, still has its charm and is attractive to visitors.
Next visit Viharn PhraMongkol Borphit.
Located next to WAT PHRA SRI SANPHET. There is a large bronze Buddha image which was originally enshrined in the open area outside the royal monastery and later covered by this chapel.
it is believed to be built in the middle phase of Ayutthaya Era. It is also believed that there had been a pantheon built to shelter the Buddha image but the pantheon was destroyed. The Buddha image has been renovated many times, especially in A.D. 1954 and A.D. 1989, until the Buddha image looks completely beautiful.
