After a short briefing, it takes a 10 minute walk to our first temple, the “Golden Buddha Temple.”
Wat Trimitr-Golden Buddha Temple is located in China Town. The temple houses the highly revered 5.5 tonne pure solid gold sitting Buddha from 1300AD.
After finishing the Golden Buddha Temple, walk through China Town to get a glimpse of the main business area along Yao Wa Ratch Road.
Yao-Wa-Ratch Road is also a well-known food walking street at night, starting from 19.00pm until mid-night.
Next, take the local routine public bus to visit Wat Pho.
Wat Pho is a breathtaking complex that houses the famous and impressive Reclining Buddha and the birthplace of Traditional Thai Massage.
Now, it’s time to hop on an exciting Tuk Tuk ride to visit the Flower Market.
The Bangkok Flower Market is the biggest fresh flower market in Bangkok. The market is named “Pak-Khlong Ta-Lad,” which means “the market at the mount of the canal.” It is open around the clock every day. Every night, late at night and early in the morning, there are varieties of fresh flowers delivered from all parts of Thailand here. The flower market looks like only flowers, but in fact it is full of things from the local area, such as vegetables, cooking ingredients, and seasonal Thai fruits. Then, every second here always looks busy.
After that, hop on a double-decker river boat and take a glimpse of the beautiful view and a fresh breeze along the Chao Phraya River to Phra Ar-Thit Pier.
Next, visit Golden Mount Temple.
From Pra Arthit pier, take a Tuk Tuk ride to our last temple, the Golden Mount Temple.
Stop and go all the way up the stairs to reach Golden Mount, a man-made hill with a golden chedi on the hilltop.
Enjoy a 360-degree panorama of Bangkok.
Then, a short walk to take a local taxi boat to our ending point.
Take a 20-minute local taxi boat ride through a small San-Saeb canal.
Enjoy the view while seeing glimpses of how the locals live, to Hua-Chang Pier, next to Siam Sky Train Station and MBK shopping Centre.
Here we say good bye.
Definitely recommend! I was on my first trip to Bangkok a few weeks ago and had very little time to explore – This tour was the perfect choice for me and I am so glad I did it!
My flight was delayed and I arrived at the tour an hour late. The guide was very helpful, responsive and flexible – he simply rearranged for me to meet him at the time I could. The tour was also longer than expected as we covered basically everything worth seeing on a walk through all the highlight areas. I definitely also saw things and neighbourhoods I would never have seen on my own.
