It takes about 1.30 hours to get there.

Our first stop is at the long tail boat pier.

08.30amtake a longtail boat to Floating Market

Next up, take a long-tail boat through the elaborated canal network, passing by villages, plantations, and fruit orchards.

It takes about 20 minutes to get to the main Damnoen Saduak Floating Market.

09.00amEnjoy Floating Market / Shopping / Eating / stroll around

To experience Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, where locals in traditional farmer’s dress and hat paddle their small boat full of varieties of fresh tropical Thai fruits and many other kinds of local ready-to-serve food. 

Here, you can walk around or buy a ticket for 150 THB for a seat on the paddle boat to experience the market.

Or just relax by sitting and sipping local coffee.

Spend time here for about an hour.

Next up, continue to Kanchanaburi to visit the River Kwai Bridge.

After lunch, pay a visit to War Cemetery, which contains the remains of approximately 9,000 prisoners of war who died during the construction of the “Death Railway.”

Then a little walk to Thailand – Burma Railway Center or Death Railway Museum inside displays the events that happened during the construction of the River Kwai Bridge and exhibits the collections of photographs, pictures, articles, pistols, knives, other related items, and movies.

Next, visit the River Kwai Bridge.

Then continue to the River Kwai Bridge, which served as the inspiration for the film “The Bridge Over the River Kwai.” During World War II, 1942-1945, POWs built this structure.
